A 12-year-old boy tragically died after plunging to his death from the 14th-floor balcony of a Royal Caribbean Cruise ship, on the final night of his trip. It was reported that he was playing with the new friends he made on-board, when he fell over the railing of the ‘Harmony of the Seas’. The event unfolded in front of the shocked passengers, when the boy fell from his family's cabin on Deck 14 into the ship’s Central Park area on Deck 8, which is home to several bars, restaurants, and pubs. Passengers waiting to board ‘Harmony of the Seas’ for its next voyage from Galveston were informed of a delay owing to an investigation being carried out in this matter.
Royal Caribbean confirmed the passenger death but refused to divulge further details of the incident or the family involved.
